How to change the sort order of the topics?

Our people would like to have the most active – or at least the most recently active – topics at the top of topics lists. How can we achiev this?

  • Actually, this also refers to the posts within the topics. People would like to see the most recent posts at the top. Sometimes they have to scroll for a long long time to get to the most recent post, which is at the bottom.

    To have the most recent comment at the top of a topic, you can just go to Settings > Discussion and select 'Comments should be displayed with the *newer* comments at the top of each page'.

    To order topics, go to your Topics page and update the shortcode using the parameters described on this page - https://discussionboard.pro/shortcodes/. To have the most recently updated topic first, use:

    [discussion_topics orderby="freshness"]
