Getting login=bounced

Have two plugins installed and activated:

  • WP Discussion Board – free
  • WP Discussion Board Pro

When trying to login as administrator to the site;

  • https://url-goes-here/wp-login.php

I get “https://url-goes-here/?login=bounced

If I turn off the free version, I am able to login as administrator to the site.

  • Is the Free version of the plugin required with the Pro version?
  • If it is, why am I getting “?login=bounced?”

    Thanks for reaching out to us. We recommend trying to save the permalinks while both the free and pro versions are active. This could help resolve the problem. If the problem still persists, could we kindly request temporary admin access to your website for us to troubleshoot effectively?

      I am happy to hear you can assist us with this issue. I agree to you accessing the WP site temporarily to troubleshoot and resolve our issue.

       Please send to me at me [email protected] and to Mark Delaney at [email protected] an email address and name to use for the account. Mark Delaney is the IT expert at Tulane who will be assisting with this endeavor because I am not tech savvy at all! He will set up the account for you to access and hopefully fix our issue.  Also, please note:

      If you can fix the issue, then we need to know exactly what to do/not do to avoid this issue in the future.

      It would be a good idea to schedule a time for this when Mark Delaney is available in case there is something on the multisite that has to be done.

    I hope this message finds you well! It sounds like you're experiencing trouble logging into the website.

    If that's the case, we recommend logging in via your hosting provider’s auto-login to the admin panel. Once logged in, please ensure that both the free and Pro versions of the plugin are activated, and save your permalinks, and let us know if the problem still persists.
