email notification when someone publish a post

Hello,

I wanted to know if the member of a discussion receive a email notification when someone publish a post ?

If yes, can you confirm me that, If there is multiple discussion, only the person who subscribe to the discussion receive it ?

  • Hi Julien,

    Great question! Whenever there is a new topic posted, only the administrator or the email set on notification (Discussion Board >> Settings >> General > Notifications) will receive the notification email.

    With regards to comment notification, the topic starter or the one who post the topic will receive a notification by default. To allow topic posters to opt out of receiving notifications when a comment is left on their topic, we need to enabled that option from settings too.

    For members, we have an option for all members to follow a certain topic. If they do so, they will receive a notification email too.
