In settings/general there are edit boxes for text to be displayed for items like ‘Restricted Message’ The editor allows and shows the formatting (a heading h2 for example) but when displayed on the page, the formatting has disappeared. Any ideas?

Hi Gareth - I was running the version before the current one because wordpress died when I tried to do the update. I finally tracked that down to the server having a really old version of PHP. Fixed that, updated your software and the problem went away. I think wordpress could be improved if plugins could specify oldest acceptable PHP version and a check made at installation time. Anyway - sorry to have troubled you and thanks for your helpful response.

Okay - glad you got that sorted. I think plugins should usually require the same minimum version of PHP as WordPress - though not certain how often that applies.
