I am trying to enable profiles. I have enabled user profile pages in the settings but when I click on a user name I just get redirected to my homepage. Also, I can’t find a form for filling in a profile as a user.

Enablig profiles
This is theme-related, where a theme already uses a template redirect for the author.php template. A fix will be available in version 1.8.0 to ensure that the redirect from Discussion Board will take priority over the theme.
